Can I order just one bag of bird food?
Of course! Just choose whether you would like the seasonal blend (changed seasonally to meet the birds' needs during nesting, breeding, moulting and the cold weather, and decide how much food you need. You can also order bird food as a gift subscription, along with one of our beautifully illustrated greetings cards.

Which birds does A Little Bird Company food attract?
Our food is designed to support a variety of species, both big and small, and to ensure you don't need to buy particular foods to encourage specific species. We have seen blue tits, dunnocks, goldfinches, great spotted woodpeckers, great tits, chaffinches, bullfinches, robins, wrens, house sparrows, coal tits, tree sparrows, thrushes and more, as well as pigeons, crows, jackdaws, starlings and magpies.

How does the subscription work?
When you sign up for a subscription you will receive the monthly blend and Monthly Titbits booklet in your first delivery. You will be charged on the first day of each month going forward, and your bird food order will be sent out on the third of each month. Orders placed after the twentieth of the month will skip the next month's delivery (unless advised otherwise).

How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel, pause, skip, upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time - just log in to your account area to make the change.

Which size of bird food should I buy?
It is really important that you keep your bird feeders clean and hygienic to avoid the spread of disease. With this in mind, I always advise putting out just enough food for the birds in your garden to eat each day so that it isn't hanging around to spoil. A 1kg bag of food provides enough for a handful of food every few days over the course of a month, 4.5kg will allow you to fill your feeders daily for a month and 12.75kg is perfect for busy and established feeders. I get through two 12.75kg bags fortnightly, but someone new to feeding would get through far less.

What is included in the monthly subscription?
You will receive a bag of bird food packaged in compostable packaging with every order. Once a month, we send out our Monthly Titbits booklet, packed with features, interviews, bird spotting tips, detailed bird profiles and tips to help you create a garden filled with wildlife.

Which bird feeder should I use for your seed?
Our bird food can be used in any seed feeder - you can use a feeding tube, ceramic gourd style feeder, Squirrel Buster, bird table or ground feeding table. At a push, you can scatter some food on the ground. Just ensure your feeder can't be ambushed by cats or foxes and that you clean it every couple of weeks, scrubbing it well with soapy water before soaking it in a mild bleach solution.

Can I send bird food as a gift?
Of course - bird food makes a brilliant gift! If you choose one of our gift subscriptions, a greetings card is included. Just let us know what you would like us to write and we can add you gift message to the card. You can also choose a greetings card as an add on

When will I receive my bird food?
Your delivery will be sent out when you place your order - all deliveries are shipped via 48 hour delivery as standard. If you place a subscription order, the first delivery will be sent out when you order and the next orders will be shipped at the start of each month. If you order after the twentieth of the month, we will skip the next month's delivery - take a look at the examples below:
ORDER PLACED 1ST JANUARY
Bag one will be shipped at the start of January and your next subscription delivery will arrive at the start of February.ORDER PLACED 26TH JANUARY
Bag one will be shipped on January 26th, and your next subscription delivery will arrive at the start of March. -
I've run out of bird food - can I order more?
Of course! Just send us a message and we can bring forward your subscription date or send out an extra bag of food. Going forward you can upgrade your subscription to a bigger bag, or add an extra bag.

How long do I have to subscribe for?
There is no minimum term for our subscriptions - you can carry on for as many months as you like. If you prepay for a gift subscription, you can choose from a three, six or twelve month subscription.

When will my order arrive?
We aim to send out all orders (including subscriptions) within two working days. Our standard delivery takes two days, but you can choose a faster delivery at checkout. If you would like your gift subscription to be delivered on a particular day (ie a birthday), just let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate your request, although we can't be held responsible for delays outside of our control.
