I love the simplicity of the giant squirrel resistant seed tray, and it's a great way to feed your birds without attracting rats, too. The giant seed tray measures 47cm across and fits onto a standard 1" bird feeding pole. It catches dropped seed from any feeders hung above, stopping rats and mice coming to eat the mess beneath your bird feeder. Squirrels, cats and rodents can't navigate the lipped edge, so they can't access the tray (or any feeders above it) from beneath. There are small drainage holes in the base of the tray, preventing food from spoiling in the rain.

You can hang bird feeders from brackets on the feeding pole, or mount suitable feeders like the Squirrel Buster onto the top of the pole to stop rats getting to your bird feeders. Just make sure your feeding station is located 1m from branches, buildings or fences that squirrels could otherwise leap from in order to get access, and 1.2m from the ground. If you want to stop rats from eating bird food, this is a great solution for you.

To attach your seed tray, slide it over the feeding pole and use the supplied clamp to secure.

TOP TIP

Position your feeding station at least 1m from perches that squirrels and cats could jump from in order to get to the food, and 1.2m from the ground.
