A card that does the talking before you've written a word. Our wild bird greetings cards are printed on heavyweight uncoated card stock, the kind that feels substantial in your hand and takes pen beautifully, so your message looks as good as the front.

Available in A6 and 148mm square, each card comes blank inside and arrives with an envelope, ready to send. Choose from watercolour, museum-style or papercut prints of much-loved garden birds, including a limited edition Hello Mr Magpie print in collaboration with Barley Designs.

How to Use

Little birds need love too! When our founder, Clare, began feeding her garden birds, she noticed that while larger birds like pigeons and jackdaws were thriving, the smaller ones were all but missing. After years of research and testing, she devised a blend carefully adjusted throughout the year to meet the little birds’ needs. Today, her garden flourishes with flocks of robins, blue tits, finches and woodpeckers - and our food is sent out all over the British Isles. Learn more about what sets our food apart.

Seasonal

Research has shown that birds have different dietary needs throughout the year – whether they’re pairing up, nesting, breeding, raising their young, moulting, or simply weathering the colder months. To support these natural changes, we’ve developed a range of seasonal blends – with extra suet and mealworms in winter and added calcium in early spring. And here’s the best bit: all you need to do is order a Seasonal Bird Food bag, and we’ll adjust the blend to suit the season. It’s effortless, leaving you with the knowledge that you’re doing something truly good for the little birds.

Sustainable

We don’t just nod to sustainability – it’s woven into our ethos. We refuse to support the farming, processing and transporting of ingredients that little birds won’t eat – only for them to end up sprouting on the ground beneath your feeder. Instead, we focus solely on premium ingredients that the little birds truly love. We use only paper, cardboard and compostable packaging and tapes – everything can be easily tossed in your home compost bin (or recycled) when you’re done. Every feeder and nestbox we sell is carefully sourced and rigorously tested to ensure it stands the test of time. Our subscription model means we stock only what we need, reducing waste, and our product range is deliberately curated to reflect our commitment to both the birds and the planet.

Songbird

We choose to prioritise songbirds with a blend designed just for them. When a smaller bird needs to stay at the feeder, pecking through the husk on a sunflower seed or sorting through the food to find the bits they like, it leaves them vulnerable to the elements, and to predators. By creating a food that contains only the ingredients songbirds love, we make it quick and easy for them to take what they need from the feeder.

We used to watch a wheat field grow through the cracks in our patio beneath the feeder, but by using dehusked seeds and focusing only on the foods that birds truly eat, our blend minimises waste and keeps unwanted seedlings at bay, giving your flowers the space they need to thrive. In early spring, garden birds are pairing up and preparing for new broods. This mix includes sunflower hearts, chopped peanuts, suet pellets, dried mealworms, and oyster shell grit to boost calcium for healthy eggs.

In late summer, young birds leave the nest and adults moult their feathers, leaving them vulnerable to attack and hindering their flight. How quickly will they receive the order?

We post all orders within 1-2 working days (Monday - Friday during working hours). Our standard shipping takes 2-3 days to arrive. We also offer express shipping which should reach you more quickly.

How can I adjust my subscription?

Can I time the first delivery for a particular date?

What if they're going on holiday?

Will you charge me again at the end of the prepaid period?

Absolutely not - your subscription will be cancelled, and we won't be authorised to take further payments on your payment card. If you (or they) want to continue the subscription, they can sign up for a pay monthly (or prepaid subscription) online, or you can purchase a new prepaid subscription for them.

Which feeder can I use with this food?

Our Seasonal Bird Food Bag works well in seed feeders, ground feeders, or bird tables. If you want to deter larger birds like starlings while still feeding smaller garden birds, try our Starling Resistant Feeder Guardian Set.

Will this food attract specific birds?

Yes! This mix attracts a wide range of birds, including:

Small songbirds like robins, blue tits, great tits, and finches
Woodpeckers, nuthatches, and wrens
Dunnocks, sparrows, and blackbirds

Many of our customers tell us that when they put this food next to straight seeds or a different blend, ours is eaten first!

Is this food safe for fledglings and baby birds?

Absolutely! Our food is designed to support the visitors as they come in throughout the year., We never use dried mealworms in spring and summer, as they can dehydrate chicks. We use only chopped peanuts, which are safe for little beaks. The entire blend is designed to be quick for birds to take, so they spend less time at the feeder and more time in the safety of the trees.

How is this bird food sustainable?

We refuse to pay to farm foods that birds won’t eat, which means no waste, no garden weeds, and no unnecessary environmental impact. Our packaging is fully recyclable, using recycled paper, cardboard, and paper tape– because sustainability should be simple!
