TOP TIP

In order to work, the Squirrel Buster feeder should be positioned with 18" (47cm) clearance on all sides (above, below and to the sides) to prevent squirrels from reaching across. You can also adjust the tension using the spring to make the mechanism more or less sensitive. The spring tension can be affected by extreme weather so may need adjustment.

How to Use

1. Lift the negative grip hanging tube and unhook the hanger.
2. Remove the metal shroud, fill the chamber with your A Little Bird Co. seed mix, then replace the shroud.
3. Rotate the green dial anticlockwise to deter heavier birds.
4. Insert the hook into the hanger.
5. Hang the feeder with 18 inches of clearance on all sides to prevent squirrels from bypassing the mechanism.

Care Instructions

The Squirrel Buster is designed for easy cleaning and can be disassembled by hand – no special tools needed. We recommend cleaning your Bird Feeder every fortnight to prevent the spread of disease. Fantastic piece of kit. Very easy to fill and adjust keeping out pigeons and limiting number of starlings that can feed. Very robust materials. Simple to take apart for filling and rehanging. So good ended up purchasing 3 in total to revamp the bird feeding area of my garden. Smaller birds are loving them.

1. Fill and assemble

Remove the metal shroud, fill the chamber with your A Little Bird Co. seed mix, then replace the shroud. Thread the hanging tube onto the post, ensuring everything is securely in place. The negative grip tube prevents squirrels from loosening the feeder.
2. Hang with clearance

Position the feeder with at least 18 inches of space above, below, and around. This stops squirrels from reaching across or using nearby surfaces for support. Hanging it in an open space ensures only small birds can perch and feed comfortably.
3. Adjust for the smallest birds

Turn the adjustment nut to fine-tune the spring mechanism—no special tools needed. Twist anticlockwise to increase sensitivity and exclude larger birds, or clockwise to allow slightly bigger birds to feed. This ensures only the smallest birds can enjoy the food.

How quickly will I receive my Squirrel Buster?

Is there a warranty?

Absolutely! You're covered by a 2 year warranty. If your Squirrel Buster is badly damaged by squirrels or other predators so that it's no longer effective, the manufacturer will repair it, replace it or send you new parts. This is in addition to your statutory rights - just ensure you've registered your feeder upon receipt.
