Little Lantern Seed Feeder

This is a nice little feeder for the smaller birds. Unfortunately we have a pesky squirrel who likes to help himself. The seed was always tipping out onto the floor & once I came home to see it had fallen onto the ground (with a little help from the squirrel!) Also,the hook isn’t ideal as it was impossible to attach the feeder to the bird station without seed tipping out

The birds in my garden absolutely love this bird food,there's no waste at all ,feed them little and often and that seems to work i still havnt recieved my little lantern bird feeder,.

Sparrows no longer scared off by the starlings!

The lantern feeder is small but easy to fill. Sparrows, robins and various tits have fed from it and the bigger birds sit in wait for anything that comes. It’s not starling proof though, unless we have particularly tenacious ones here in Cumbria! Easy to clean. Thank you.

Great service and information from Claire. Bought the seasonal bird food for the lantern feeder. I much prefer the design size and colour of the little lantern but so do the crows who have worked out how to empty it very quickly . Having to use a larger lantern feeder to make sure the little birds get some too. The food is a big hit with all the birds too. I will just need to try to out smart the crow with where I hang the little lantern.

I got the starter kit with the little feeder and seed mix. The shape of the feeder really keeps the bird seed dry. We have had some heavy rain and windy days of late but the remaining seed is dry when I top it up each day. I’m very happy with it.

I would highly recommend A Little Bird Company. I had previously bought the Starling Proof Guardian Feeder Set, which was excellent quality, to add to my existing feeders, however my garden was struggling to attract birds. I emailed Clare for some advice and sent a video of my garden. She was extremely kind and took the time to reply, offering me some very helpful tips and ideas to help improve my garden in order to attract a variety of birds. I have now subscribed for the seasonal bird food which is great, ensuring the birds are getting the right food for the right time of year; and the packaging is eco-friendly too!
I have since bought the Little Lantern seed feeder which is good quality and great in that it comes apart and can easily be cleaned. The feeder I was previously using only had 2 perches, so the goldfinches were getting frustrated waiting, whereas the Little Lantern feeder has ‘free access’. The goldfinches took to the feeder straight away. Some greenfinches have visited, but so far haven’t quite figured out how to land on it!

I wanted a small feeder for the little birds which I could place nearer to our garden windows and out of the parakeets range! So lovely seeing tits, robins and goldfinches up close and so far the squirrel hasn’t shown any interest.
Sturdy and well made design. I know this because I dropped it hard onto tiles and it stayed intact!

It took a couple of days for the birds to find the feeder, but now they love it. It keeps the larger birds from eating everything. It’s cute and bigger than it looks.

I love this little bird feeder - after only 2 days of being out I’ve had such a variety of birds visiting - much more than when I just put food on a ‘table’. They’re clearly enjoying it. Highly recommended.
