A little care goes a long way
The RSPB guidance has prompted a lot of questions, and the honest answer is that hygiene has always mattered - it just hasn't always talked been about loudly enough. These three habits are simple, take minutes each week, and make a genuine difference to the birds in your garden.
Three ways to get started
Do you enjoy the simplicity of having your bird food arrive without having to lift a finger via an ongoing subscription, or would you prefer to order as and when you need to? We have you covered, whichever your preference.
Subscribe
Keep your bird feeders topped up all year to support the little birds. Our subscription makes it easy to feed them exactly what they need, without the hassle of remembering to order more or lugging heavy bags from the garden centre. Choose a delivery schedule that suits you – every fortnight, every month or every other month – and pause, skip, switch or cancel at any time. Use the code below for free shipping on your first three bird food subscription orders.
Order On Demand
Prefer to order food only when you need it? No problem. You can purchase a one-off bag of food whenever it suits you. Each delivery comes with a blend tailored to the birds’ needs at that time of year. And, as always, we’ll send you a free trial bag – just cover the postage.
Pay Upfront
Do you prefer to pay upfront? We make it easy. Set up a three, six or twelve month subscription and eliminate the hassle of remembering to reorder. We’ll send out your delivery once a month for the duration of your prepaid subscription, but you can skip an order if you're away - just log in to your account to make the change, or send us an email or WhatsApp message.
We offer a discount to subscribers who prepay for their food in advance (6 or 12 month prepaid orders only). The discount will be automatically applied.
The bird food designed for little birds
Little birds need love too! When our founder, Clare, began feeding her garden birds, she noticed that while larger birds like pigeons and jackdaws were thriving, the smaller ones were all but missing. After years of research and testing, she devised a blend carefully adjusted throughout the year to meet the little birds’ needs. Today, her garden flourishes with flocks of robins, blue tits, finches and woodpeckers - and our food is sent out all over the British Isles. Learn more about what sets our food apart.
Kind words from our happy customers
On the menu this month
Order a bag of our Seasonal Bird Food Blend and we’ll deliver the perfect mix for your garden birds each month. Learn more about our four seasonal blends below.
The Nesting Blend
Early spring is one of my favourite times in the garden. After the calm of winter, everything starts to feel busy and full of life. Garden birds are pairing up and getting ready to raise their first broods, which means they need an extra boost of calcium for strong egg production. They also need foods that are quick and easy to grab from the feeder, helping them stay well fed while they look after their newly hatched chicks.
This mix includes sunflower hearts, chopped peanuts, suet pellets, dried mealworms, and oyster shell grit — perfect for supporting them through this hectic season.
The New Families Blend
In late spring and early summer, adult birds are busily feeding their fledglings. This blend skips dried mealworms to avoid dehydration for young chicks, and features sunflower hearts, chopped peanuts, suet pellets, pinhead oats, and oil‐rich hemp seed for an extra boost.
The Fledglings and Feathers Blend
In late summer, young birds leave the nest and adults moult their feathers, leaving them vulnerable to attack and hindering their flight. Although they may be less visible in your garden when they’re not in their feathered finest, they need our support more than ever, which is why our mix features sunflower hearts, chopped peanuts, oil-rich hemp seed for glossy feather regeneration, and a touch of suet pellets for extra energy.
The Fall into Winter Blend
When the weather turns cold and food is scarce, our winter blend comes to the rescue. It’s a robust mix of sunflower hearts, suet pellets, chopped peanuts, dried mealworms, hemp seed, and pinhead oats to keep birds fed through frosty days.
